Well we all definitely were thrown a curve ball with the COVID-19. I have to say thus far our family has been doing well. No signs of sickness here, thank the Lord. I pray all is well with you today, and if there is cause for concern that it quickly passes you by.
So far we have been able to work still, including our boys. For that I am thankful. Our daughter has not liked being out of school and I feel she is feeling a little bored. Monday they should have a website up and running for her to do some curriculum. I have been working from home and trying my best to keep things as normal as possible for us all.
My extended family all seem to be doing well. Some of them have been affected in the way of work. One has completely lost their job, and another has been laid off. I know things will be ok as long as we hold one another up in prayer.
I have just explained to the kids and others that fear is not going to have a say in this time of what seems to be a dark cloud setting on this world. We will make it through. We will survive and we will keep our faith over this fear. So much of what is taking place has consumed some people and they are depressed and afraid. Now is not a time for giving in to those emotions. Now is the time to stand and fight. I will keep a sound mind, I will not fear the unknown, and I will be ok after the dark clouds have passed. They will pass!!
I miss my extended family and I have no idea when I will see them again. We live many hours apart. I stay in touch often and we pray for each other. I encourage you all to do the same. Check-in with family and friends. Ask where they are in this thing and ask what you can take to prayer for them. Ask them to do the same for you. I tell you it does make a difference.
I hope you all stay safe and I pray you can find peace in the midst of this storm…..Prayers for you and yours.
